At INT our
experienced staff will help you define your site's purpose and
then create your site based on that purpose. A Web site
should be built to achieve a specific objective. Your site
will more than likely be for one of these purposes:
- To sell a product
- To provide information
- To collect information
- To act as a marketing tool
- To entertain
Most sites are some combination of the above, but there is
usually one core purpose. Concentrate on that core purpose. If
your site is intended to sell merchandise, then make it easy
for the customer to buy. Provide product information. Answer
questions. Take credit card orders over the Internet. Sell.
Sell. Sell. A paper ad or catalogue can't compete with a Web
site for holding the interest of a prospective customer and
getting him to open up his wallet.
If your site is designed to provide information, make it easy
for the customer to find. Provide a search page or database
query. The information the person is looking for should never
be more than a few clicks away.
If your site is designed to collect information from visitors,
be prepared to give something in return for their time. Give
away useful information, or let visitors play a game in return
for telling you about themselves. The more you give away, the
more you receive in return. Web surfers have become accustomed
to getting "free stuff." Make sure you have something of
interest on your site.
If your site is intended to act as a marketing tool, it must
be fun, useful, or innovative. The art of Web design is
advancing at an incredibly rapid pace, so obsolete Web design
or dull content will more-than- likely fail to generate
sufficient traffic. As stated above, Web surfers expect
something in return for their time. The site should be fun
and interactive.
A Web site designed strictly to entertain must…well…entertain.
An entertaining site that generates strong traffic can act as
a door to another Web site designed for sales or marketing
purposes. If you are serious about generating a lot of
traffic, building an entertainment site to act as a marketing
vehicle for your business Web site can be very effective.
THE COSTS
There are four different areas which must be considered:
1. Domain name
If you choose a
virtual domain ( www.yourbiz.com ) you will have a cost of
$30.00, plus an additional $20 every year thereafter for
renewing your domain name.
2. Web Site Design
We take into consideration that each business is different
and unique. This should reflect in your website. We custom
design each site tailored to your needs and the purpose of the
site. We charge a flat rate of $60.00 per hour.
3. Web Site Marketing
There are literally millions of Internet sites on the
Internet today, with hundreds added every day. It is more
important than ever to have a solid marketing strategy for
your website. There are hundreds of search engines and
directories to choose from. We have sorted through them all
and have a list of the top 50. In addition, we keep an eye on
new sites, search engines and directories that appear on the
Internet.
